eCommerce Operations Liaison – Tokyo based

Part-time | 3–4 days a week | Weekdays only


Front Office is expanding into Japan. Before we move, we need a calm, highly organised point-person on the ground in Tokyo, with the option to stay on once the HQ relocates.


 

What you will do

 


Customer service

 

  • Answer email enquiries about sizing, orders and returns

  • Keep replies clear, friendly and on-brand

 


Operations and admin

 

  • Maintain master spreadsheets tracking global stock and shipping

  • Work with 3PL partners to keep counts accurate

  • Flag freight or duty issues early

  • Upload products or tweak copy as needed

 


Sample coordination

 

  • Receive samples from factories, quality-check, forward to local makers or photographers

  • Arrange returns and log every movement

 


 

Ideal candidate

 

 

  • Unflappable when parcels go missing or deadlines slide

  • Loves spreadsheets and spots errors before they bite

  • Writes crisp English and can handle simple Japanese logistics calls or emails

  • Works independently yet asks for clarity when needed

  • Curious about small-brand fashion operations; Shopify or 3PL experience is a plus

 


 

Hours and contract

 


Part-time, flexible Monday–Friday. Mostly remote but occasional visits to couriers or sample studios in Tokyo. Contractor role until the company moves; potential to evolve into full operations management.
