Measuring Guide
Instead of measuring your own body, we recommend measuring a reference garment that fits you the way you like, laid flat. That is the easiest way to understand how our garments will fit.
For Shirt/Jackets:
-Note: Compare shirts with shirts, jackets with jackets.
-Shoulder width: measured straight across the back, from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
-Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
Note: on styles with a dropped shoulder, this number will look shorter than a traditional jacket. It’s best to combine this with the shoulder measurement for a full picture.
-Chest width: measured straight across the front, just under the armpits (pit to pit).
-Body length: from the top of the shoulder (beside the collar) down to the hem.
-Hem width: measured straight across the bottom opening of the jacket.
For Jeans/Trousers:
-Note: Compare jeans with jeans, trousers with trousers
-Waist: measured straight across the waistband.
-Rise: from the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband (front rise).
-Thigh width: straight (horizontally) across the leg, just below the crotch.
-Inseam: from the crotch seam down to the hem along the inner leg.
Note: Inseam length is the NOT the only way to understand the length of a pair of jeans/trousers. On styles with a longer rise, this number will look shorter than a traditional pair of jeans/trousers. It’s best to combine this with the rise for a full picture.
-Leg opening: measured straight across the hem of the leg.
